Household Furniture Disposal and Recycling

Getting rid of unwanted furniture is very difficult these days, so many laws and so much legislation. Bellwoods Removals are licensed to transport unwanted furniture to a waste distribution centre and can safely dispose of any unwanted items. Upon collection of your unwanted items you will be presented with a waste transfer notice which not only makes it legal for us to dispose of your furniture but also makes it legal for you.

If you are disposing of furniture with an un licensed company then both YOU and the company can be prosecuted, it's the law.

Piano disposal

Getting rid of an old piano is not an easy task, at least with furniture you can break it up in to pieces and take it to the household waste site in your car. With a piano you need to consider the logistics of the move and then disposal. At Bellwoods we are Piano removal specialists and can therefore safely remove your piano and then dispose of it legally for you.

 Helping our community by recycling

We have recently being helping out our less fortunate neighbours in Kirklees by recycling any useable furniture. So long as it is legal to do so, we can now offer your furniture to schemes and organisations that help the less fortunate. This comes at no additional cost to you, we absorb any extra costs and if you would rather us not do this with your furniture, just mention this when we collect.

What we can't dispose of

Basically we cant dispose of anything dangerous or toxic, we don't hold the appropriate license for that. It's common sense really but here's a quick list of obvious items we cant dispose of.
